THE SONGS
- TALKIN' AT THE SAME TIME -- Advice to
bored couples. Not only does this take two singers, but two listeners.
- BROCCOLI SHY -- A true story song. Our
food songs seem to be taking over where our booze songs left
off.
- UNCLE DAVE'S GRACE -- Another true story.
This was witnessed by Peter at a recent Thanksgiving feast.
- WHOSE IS YOURS? -- Dedicated to anyone
who has bravely ventured backwards into their family's murky
history.
- THE DUPSHA DOVE -- More about words than
birds. This concerns those mumbling little voices in your head.
- PERSEIDS -- Written for an outdoor show
on the date of the Perseids meteor shower. Too bad it was cloudy.
- OLDER'N EVERYBODY -- Dedicated to those
who have discovered that the more time goes by, the older you
get.
- ACME FORGETTING SERVICE -- We were going
to write a detailed explanation of this song, but we forgot.
- WEIRDER THAN SUNLIGHT -- Odd is love.
But according to this song, that's a big part of what gives it
oomph.
- AN HOUR AWAY -- Someone told us this is
a calculus problem. We wouldn't know; we majored in subtraction.
- COCKROACH CHRISTMAS -- Be kind to your
six footed friends. After all, they will inherit the Earth someday.
- BIG DEAD BIRD -- A re-recording of our
Xmas song from the vinyl years. A holiday tradition. Somewhere.
- CHAPTER ONE -- This is based on the relationship
between creativity and consumption, or input and output.
- WHO AM I? -- Another re-recording, this
song is an odd one, inspired by Surrealist art and panic attacks.
- WONDERFUL MADISON -- A re-recording, but
with a few new verses, this is a waltz through moo-town.
- CHEESE & BEER & SNOW ("THIRTY
DEGREES") Wisconsin's three concerns.
- YOU CAN'T EAT OOBA ALL NIGHT -- A re-recording
of our old space ballad, starring Anema Chiptap.
- MADISON, WISCONSIN -- A new song about
our home town, dedicated to homesick former residents everywhere.
