A note about the safety of sending credit card info via email, with suggestions.
Many people would rather not send their credit card information via email, for fear it will be intercepted somewhere along the way. This is a legitimate concern, and though we have never learned of a problem in this regard with anyone who has ordered from us, many people feel it is wise to disguise your number one way or another.
Apparently there is dastardly software available to hackers which constantly searches email going over the internet, automatically looking for the telltale structure of credit card numbers. We are told that there are a number of simple ways to foil this software by disguising your number so that it isn't flagged as a credit card number:
In other words, just disguise your number so it is not in the usual form, and the hacker software won't be able to spot it. You can explain how you disguised it in your email, because the hacker software doesn't read the email, it just looks dumbly for the credit card numbers.
If you are still worried about it, you can always call in your order, send it via snail mail, or use a secure site like CD Baby.
